Deck Almost Done
July the 8th and 15th saw a hard working group of men putting the fascia boards and decking on our current Habitat house. It took muscle, lots of energy, and sweat, but the deck is almost done.
Nisha Miller led a crew of women welding shovels in shifting mounds of dirt and concrete making the path around the house smother and safer for all the workers. Dayna spent most of the day in a hot trailer organizing tools and supplies. Having this house in the dry is a light at the end of a tunnel.

Volunteers Needed
Mount Pleasant Habitat for Humanity needs volunteers, either single or groups, to prepare and serve a light meal each workday. Pizza or sandwiches are appreciated by these dedicated workers. Perhaps your club, Sunday School class, or family would like to take on this job one Saturday. If so please contact Jaletta Farmer at the Habitat office to schedule a Saturday that will work for you. Women’s Build
Mark your calendar for May 6, 2017. That’s the BIG DAY for Mt. Pleasant’s Habitat for Humanity’s Women’s Build. The pad is ready and the concrete men and plumbers are lined to prepare the site for the BIG DAY. With your help, we will be RAISING THE WALLS of our current house building project.
We need 50 people, 3/4 of them women, to qualify for the Lowe’s grant that will help us cut costs on the new Habitat house. We hope churches, banks, businesses, and other organizations will put a team together and join us, Saturday May 6, and raise the walls of our newest house on East 9th Street.
